Detroit Lions defensive tackle Haloti Ngata has disclosed that he is relishing being a part of the club's defense.
The 31-year-old was traded to the NFC North side from the Baltimore Ravens, where he played for nine seasons.
Ngata has admitted that he has never been a part of a team filled with the athletic players present in Jim Caldwell's squad, and is eagerly anticipating playing alongside them in the 2015 campaign.
"It's exciting, man," Ngata told reporters. "I've never been a part of a defense like this. You have so many athletes: Jason Jones, Ziggy [Ansah], Caraun [Reid], Darryl Tapp.
"You just have so many playmakers all over the front on the defensive line. I'm just excited to be a part of it."
Ngata has recorded 445 tackles, 25.5 sacks and five interceptions in his nine years in the NFL.
