John Dorsey: 'Travis Kelce will improve our offense'

Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey believes that tight end Travis Kelce will break out next season for his side to help further improve their offense.

Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey is hopeful that tight end Travis Kelce will emerge next season as part of his side's improving offense.

The 24-year-old missed the 2013 season with a knee injury but has been given the all-clear to return to action, and Dorsey wants him to become a difference maker for Andy Reid's team.

"The way that group started to come on towards the end, and getting used to the offense, you could see that they were beginning to understand their roles and what they were supposed to do," Dorsey told TheMMQB.com.

"It's going to be a collective effort. And the emergence of a Travis Kelce being able to stretch the field as a tight end, hopefully that weapon adds another element to the passing game. We took some nicks at the tight end position last year."

The Chiefs finished with an 11-5 record last season, but were knocked out of the playoffs by the Indianapolis Colts in the wildcard round.
