Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles 26-16 at the Lincoln Financial Field.

Kansas City Chiefs have remained unbeaten this season thanks to a 26-16 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles at the Lincoln Financial Field.

Alex Smith was sacked by Nate Allen as the Chiefs looked for a touchdown early in the first quarter, but Ryan Succop kicked them in front from 33 yards.

The first touchdown came when Michael Vick's pass to DeSean Jackson was tipped into Eric Berry's hands by Derrick Johnson, allowing the 24-year-old to score a 38-yard return.

However, the veteran quarterback made up for his error by faking a hand-off to Bryce Brown to escape Dontari Poe, before running 61 yards to set the offence 26 yards from the endzone.

The 33-year-old then found Jason Avant for the Eagles' first touchdown of the evening, making the score 10-6.

Succop missed the posts from 51 yards but found his range from 31 yards to add three more to the Chiefs' lead in the second quarter. Another kick went through, this time from 34 yards, before the referee called for half time.

Alex Henery reduced the deficit in the third quarter with a 29-yard field goal, but his kick from 48 yards missed to the right, which meant that the Chiefs led by seven heading into the final quarter.

Jamaal Charles went over from four yards for the Chiefs having made a 20-yard dash to set up the opportunity, and that gave Andy Reid's men some extra breathing space.

The home side refused to go down easily, and clawed the gap back to seven points when LeSean McCoy blazed a 41-yard trail to the endzone before Henery kicked the extra point.

Chip Kelly's side were left needing two touchdowns after Succop drilled another kick between the posts with three minutes and 21 seconds left on the clock.

The 10-point disadvantage proved to be insurmountable for the NFC East team, who have now lost two of their three games this season.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs go 3-0 and move to the top of the pile in the AFC West standings.
