Oakland Raiders linebacker Khalil Mack has expressed his belief that he is ready for the challenge for life in the NFL.
The 23-year-old was selected fifth overall in the 2014 Draft and the Raiders are determined to prepare him to become a impact player in his rookie season.
"It's a challenge, and I'm open to the challenge," Mack told reporters. "I'm trying to go out there every day and work on something that they want me to work on, and get better at it. And try not to make the same mistakes.
"That's my biggest thing. I try to go out there and do what I can to make plays and be in the right position. That's all they're trying to do, to put me in the right position to make plays. I'm thankful for that."
Mack recorded 100 tackles, 10.5 sacks and three interceptions for the Buffalo Bulls in the 2013 season.
