Jessica Ennis, Katherine Grainger and Jade Jones are among the winners at this 2012's Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year award.

Jessica Ennis has been named as the recipient of the Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year award for 2012.

The Olympic heptathlon champion was honoured for her gold medal performance at London 2012, where she set three personal bests and a new British record.

"It's an incredible honour considering the amazing performances we've had this year from British women," Ennis told BBC Sport.

Fellow Olympians Katherine Grainger and Jade Jones also picked up accolades at the event, as did Paralympic cycling champion Sarah Storey.

Women's double sculls champion Grainger was named as Olympian of the Year, while taekwondo gold medallist Jones took the gong for Young Olympian of the Year. Storey was named Paralympian of the Year after winning four golds at this year's games.

Tennis pair Heather Watson and Laura Robson shared the Young Sportswoman of the Year honour following a string of impressive performances this year.

Team GB's gold medal-winning cycling team of Dani King, Laura Trott and Joanna Rowsell won Team of the Year, while David Weir's trainer Jenny Archer took Coach of the Year.

There was also a Lifetime Achievement Award for UK Sport chair Baroness Sue Campbell and a Community Award for disabled sports campaigner Di Redfern.

Claire Lomas, who competed in the London Marathon despite being paralysed from the chest down, took home the Helen Rollason Award for Inspiration.
