Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Friday night's games in the NBA.

The Miami Heat have slipped to their second defeat of the week, losing by a single point to the Brooklyn Nets.

The home side found themselves 12 points up midway through the fourth quarter, but LeBron James and Chris Bosh led the fightback for Miami until a personal foul by Dwyane Wade allowed Joe Johnson to seal the win with a pair of free throws.

The Los Angeles Lakers also recorded back-to-back wins as they were downed by the San Antonio Spurs.

The Lakers had looked in control, but an injury to Xavier Henry late in the first half allowed the visiting team to come back from 15 points down.

A fourth-quarter collapse by the Boston Celtics allowed the Milwaukee Bucks to come back from 22 point down in the second half and clinch a 105-98 win.

Jeff Green and Gerald Wallace left the home side in a strong position as they closed in on their first win of the season, but Zara Pachulia added 10 points inside the last six minutes to lead a Milwaukee comeback.

The Orlando Magic thrashed the New Orleans Pelicans to take victory in their first home game of the new season.

The hosts amassed a 30-point lead during the third quarter, but Anthony Davis was able to reduce the gap to 20 points by the end of the game.

Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul continued his strong start to the season, adding 26 points during their 110-101 win over the Sacramento Kings.

Blake Griffin was also heavily involved for the visiting side with 20 points, 17 rebounds and six assists, while Jamal Crawford had 18 from the bench.

A late push gave the Philadelphia 76ers a 109-102 win over the Washington Wizards, despite having trailed by 12 points during the third quarter.

Thaddeus Young added a series a late shots, finishing the game with 29 points, two assists, eight rebounds and a steal.

The Houston Rockets secured Texas bragging rights, beating the Dallas Mavericks 113-105.

The home side got off to a quick start, taking a 16-point lead by the end of the first quarter, allowing them to survive a Jae Crowder-led fightback late in the fourth quarter.

The Minnesota Timberwolves took a comfortable 19-point victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Timberwolves held Kevin Durant to 13 points while opening up a 34-point advantage midway through the fourth quarter before coasting to the end of the game.

The Memphis Grizzlies needed overtime to clinch victory over the Detroit Pistons, having trailed by six points in the final minute of regulation.

Jerryd Bayless and Tayshaun Prince led the team in overtime, while Mike Conley finished the game with 22 points.

The Portland Trail Blazers ended a nine-game losing streak following a dominant first-half performance against the Denver Nuggets.

Nicolas Batum amassed 21 points before the break, but it was LaMarcus Aldridge who led the team at full time with 25.

A strong start helped the Charlotte Bobcats set up a 90-84 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Kemba Walker added nine points in the first quarter, and continued scoring throughout the clash to end the game with 23 points.

The Atlanta Hawks upped the tempo just before half time to help them open up a lead over the Toronto Raptors before sealing the win.

The Hawks turned a one-point deficit heading into the final two minutes of the second quarter into a 10-point lead at the break, with Al Horford finishing the day with 22 points.

The Phoenix Suns edged out the Utah Jazz in the second half at their game at the US Airways Center.
