Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's action from the NBA as the Golden State Warriors slip to their first defeat of the season.

The Golden State Warriors' unbeaten start to the season has come to an end as the Milwaukee Bucks handed the reigning NBA champions their first defeat of the 2015-16 season.

The visitors headed to the BMO Harris Bradley Center following a record-breaking 24-0 start to the season, but Milwaukee kept the game close through the first three quarters, with Michael Carter-Williams and Jabari Parker cancelling out the efforts of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

Carter-Williams and Greg Monroe led the charge for the Bucks at the start of the fourth quarter, opening up a 10-point lead for the home side, while Curry, Thompson and Draymond Green all missed three-pointer attempts in the final couple of minutes.

The Los Angeles Clippers ended an eight-year wait for an away win over the Brooklyn Nets, giving the team their 14th victory of the campaign.

Blake Griffin and JJ Redick piled the points on throughout the first three quarters to leave the visitors 14 points up heading into the final 12 minutes.

Andrea Bargnani and Thaddeus Young cut the gap to two points inside the final four minutes, but Griffin and Chris Paul added a series of shots to keep the Clippers in front.

The San Antonio Spurs frustrated the Atlanta Hawks, restricting them to 25 first-half points in an emphatic win at the Philips Arena.

The visitors were 22 points ahead at the break after holding Atlanta to the lowest first-half points total of the season, and continued to outscore their opponents in the second half, with Kawhi Leonard leading the way with 22.

The Chicago Bulls came from behind in the fourth quarter to secure victory over the New Orleans Pelicans, who have won just once in 12 away games this season.

The Pelicans headed into the fourth quarter with a six-point lead, but Aaron Brooks quickly got the Bulls back on level terms, while Kirk Hinrich edged them ahead.

Anthony Davis and Eric Gordon kept the visitors close, with the latter putting New Orleans back in front with three minutes to go, but Brooks and Pau Gasol both found the basket late on to hand Chicago the win.

The Charlotte Hornets slipped to their first defeat in five games as the Boston Celtics clinched a narrow win at the Time Warner Cable Arena.

The teams were closely matched in the first half, but the visitors dominated the third quarter, as Avery Bradley and Isaiah Thomas opened up a lead for the Celtics, before Nicolas Batum and Kemba Walker got Charlotte back into the game late on.

Bradley restored Boston's lead in the final two minutes though, while some free throws in the last 60 seconds ensured that the visitors held on for the win.

The Detroit Pistons claimed their sixth win in eight outings as they wrapped up a comfortable win over the Indiana Pacers.

The home side were dominant either side of half time, with Reggie Jackson, Ersan Ilyasova and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope all putting in strong shooting performances.

James Harden scored 30 points as the Houston Rockets crushed the Los Angeles Lakers, leaving the home side with a 12-12 record so far this season.

The Rockets looked the stronger of the two sides from the start, opening up a 17-point advantage by the end of the second quarter, before Kobe Bryant tried to get the Lakers back into the contest, finishing the game with 25 points.

Harden continued to find the target though, while Trevor Ariza and Patrick Beverley make shots in the final few minutes to ensure that the Rockets came away with an emphatic winning margin.

The New York Knicks ended their four-game losing streak with a narrow win over the Portland Trail Blazers, coming from 10 points down in the fourth quarter.

Lance Thomas and Langston Galloway led the turnaround, wiping out the hosts' lead in less than four minutes before Carmelo Anthony sealed the comeback for the visitors, matching his season-high score of 37 with a run of free throws in the final moments.

Otto Porter Jr scored a career-high 28 points to lead the Washington Wizards to a win over the Dallas Mavericks.

Just a point separated the two sides at half time, but the Wizards hit their stride in the third quarter, with Porter leading the way as they put in 39 points in the 12-minute spell, giving them a comfortable lead heading into the fourth.

Dirk Nowitzki and JJ Barea led the Dallas fightback late on, closing the gap to a single point with four seconds remaining, but John Wall added a couple of free throws, while Nowtizki missed a three-pointer at the buzzer.
