The Golden State Warriors became the first NBA team to reach 60 wins this season and also wrapped up the Western Conference's top seed in the upcoming playoffs with a comfortable win over the Milwaukee Bucks in one of five games on Saturday night.

It was a ninth win in a row for Steve Kerr's men and again MVP candidate Stephen Curry stood out with 25 points, including six three-pointers.

Over in the East, the Chicago Bulls strengthened their place in third in the standings by hammering the hapless New York Knicks at United Center.

Nikola Mirotic top scored for the hosts with 24 points as they handed New York their seventh defeat in a row and a franchise-record 60th loss of the season.

After securing their place as the East's number-one seed on Friday, the Atlanta Hawks rested all five of their usual starters for the trip to the Charlotte Hornets and went down by 15 points at Time Warner Cable Arena.

The Hornets remain in contention for a playoff place in the East after ending their three-game losing streak, with Kemba Walker leading all scorers with 21.

The Portland Trail Blazers made it three straight wins in a high-scoring game against the Denver Nuggets.

LaMarcus Aldridge had a big night at Moda Center with 32 points and 11 rebounds as Portland held on to fifth place in the West.

The Utah Jazz won their first game in five by overcoming Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder at home.

Trey Burke was the Jazz's top scorer with 22, while Westbrook had 37 points, eight rebounds and six assists in defeat.
