Miami Heat continue their string of impressive results as they beat the Indiana Pacers.

The Miami Heat have notched another win to continue their recent run of impressive form as they overcame the Indiana Pacers 97-94 at the American Airlines Arena on Tuesday.

The hosts were down after the first two quarters, but pulled off effective returns in the third and fourth to ensure the win, with both LeBron James and Dwyane Wade turning in match-winning performances for Miami.

Dwayne managed to notch his first 30-point game of the season with 32 on 15-for-25 shooting, while James delivered 24 points, nine rebounds and seven assists despite looking a little off-kilter.

Meanwhile, in Boston, the Detroit Pistons pulled off a slender 107-106 victory over the Boston Celtics as the hosts threw away a 21-point lead at the TD Garden.

Boston had scored a season-high 42 points in the first quarter, though Brandon Jennings and Josh Smith led the fightback as the Pistons posted impressive second-half scores.

The story may have been different, however, if Boston man Jeff Green hadn't missed a contested runner as time expired late on.

At the Philips Arena, the Atlanta Hawks recorded their 12th straight win against the Sacramento Kings with a comfortable 124-107 victory, thanks to a standout showing from Kyle Korver.

Korver tied his career-high with eight three-pointers, while also scoring a season-high 28 points during the game, with further support coming from center Al Horford who produced 25 points and 10 rebounds, five assists and four blocked shots.

Kevin Love joined the heights of previous famous stars as he helped to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 120-109 win against the Portland Trail Blazers, with the power forward becoming only the third player in NBA history to produce a 29-point, 15-rebound, nine-assist, four-three game.

Action at the US Airways Center saw the Phoenix Suns give up their five-game winning streak with a 108-101 defeat to the San Antonio Spurs.

The Spurs were one of few teams able to slow down the Suns' dual point-guard backcourt of Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe, allowing Manu Ginobili and Tim Duncan to steal in and help to secure victory for the visitors.

In Houston, the Houston Rockets turned on the style to overcome the Chicago Bulls 109-94 at the Toyota Centre, to continue the franchise's worst stretch since beginning the 2004-05 season 2-13.

Dwight Howard, James Harden and Chandler Parsons were the main tormentors for the Rockets, with each player notching double-point scores for the hosts.

Tuesday also saw the Los Angeles Clippers record a 108-95 victory at the Staples Centre, as they beat the New Orleans Pelicans, with DeAndre Jordan scoring 14 points, 20 rebounds and five blocks for his 12th double-double of the season, matching his career-high total from last year's campaign.

An intriguing game down at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee saw the New York Knicks hold off the Milwaukee Bucks for a 107-101 win, with the visitors requiring two overtimes to complete the result.

Another overtime win was grabbed at the Air Canada Centre, where the Charlotte Bobcats recorded a 104-102 win over the Toronto Raptors, as Kemba Walker drilled a mid-range buzzer-beating jumper to grab a two-point win in added time.

Elsewhere, the Dallas Mavericks beat the Memphis Grizzlies 105-91, while the Washington Wizards and the Utah Jazz notched important wins against the Brooklyn Nets and Orlando Magic respectively.
