The Portland Trail Blazers have traded Nicolas Batum to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Gerald Henderson and Noah Vonleh.
A frustrating campaign for the Hornets has been followed by a busy start to the off-season, with Lance Stephenson already being sent to the Los Angeles Clippers in a deal last week.
Adding shooters to the roster is the priority for Charlotte, and they have moved quickly to acquire Batum and unload the contracts of guard Henderson and power forward Vonleh.
"We felt like we needed some more shooting and we feel like we have addressed that," Hornets general manager Rich Cho revealed in a statement.
Batum averaged 9.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists in his seventh season with the Blazers.
