British super-middleweight George Groves feels that beating Martin Murray would open up opportunities against any of the world champions in the 168lbs division.

British super-middleweight George Groves has said that beating Martin Murray would put himself in a position to compete for any of the world titles in his weight division.

The showdown between Groves and Murray has been confirmed for the undercard of the world heavyweight title clash between Anthony Joshua and Dominic Breazeale at London's O2 Arena on June 25, with the winner potentially putting themselves in line for a shot at the WBA title.

However, Groves feels that a win over four-time world title challenger Murray would attract the attention of each of the four title holders at 168lbs.

The 28-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I think this is such a big, high-profile fight that all of the world champions will be looking at it and saying that the winner of this fight is a big fight and it would generate money and interest. Hopefully it will open plenty of doors."

Groves and Murray have suffered seven defeats between them during their professional careers but each of them have come in world title bouts.
