Bangladesh lose five wickets in reply to Pakistan as they post 107-5 at the end of day two of the second Test, leaving them 450 runs behind.

Bangladesh have struggled in their reply to Pakistan's first-innings total of 557 runs by losing five wickets before the close of play on day two of the second Test in Dhaka.

The tourists declared before tea with two wickets to spare as Azhar Ali top-scored with an impressive 226, while Younis Khan and Asad Shafiq also scored centuries.

In reply, the hosts had a troubled start with the bat as Tamim Iqbal was dismissed lbw from Junaid Khan's delivery with just four runs to his name.

Khan struck again four overs later to send Mominul Haque (13) back to the pavilion, leaving Imrul Kayes and Mahmudullah to lead Bangladesh's attack.

Kayes managed to steady the innings, but after scoring 32 runs off 46 balls, he was bowled out by Yasir Shah, and Mahmudullah (28) shortly followed after falling to Wahab Riaz.

Despite wickets tumbling, Bangladesh were able to recover slightly as Shakib Al Hasan (14 not out) and Mushfiqur Rahim pushed their side beyond the 100-run mark, but the latter was taken out minutes before stumps on 12 runs.

Bangladesh will resume on 107-5 tomorrow, 450 runs behind their opponents.
