England dismiss the West Indies for 299 on the second day of the second Test, despite Devendra Bishoo and Shannon Gabriel adding 52 for the final wicket.

England have dismissed the West Indies for 299 to force tea on the second day of the second Test, despite the tail-enders adding over 50 for the final wicket.

After the players were forced to take an early lunch because of rainy conditions in Grenada, the restart was also delayed as the showers continued.

Once the action got underway, Marlon Samuels quickly completed his century but was out off the following James Anderson delivery, slicing the ball straight to Ian Bell at slip.

Dinesh Ramdin soon followed, while Jason Holder survived a review after appearing to edge a Stuart Broad effort to Moeen Ali, as the replays showed that the all-rounder did not make the catch.

Holder managed just 22 before being sent back to the pavilion though, while Kemar Roach added just one as Broad collected his fourth wicket of the innings to reduce the hosts to 247-9.

Ben Stokes came back into the attack in a bid to end the innings, but the all-rounder went for 11 off one over as Devendra Bishoo and Shannon Gabriel showed some resistance at the end of the batting order.

Gabriel finished not out on 20, a new career-high in Tests, but Bishoo was eventually deceived by a Mooen delivery, trapping him lbw to leave England coming into bat after tea following a 52-run stand for the final wicket.
