Shahid Afridi reveals that he is ready to come out of retirement and represent Pakistan's one-day team again.

Shahid Afridi has revealed that he is willing to come out of retirement and represent Pakistan's one-day team again.

The 31-year-old retired in May following a row with the Pakistan Cricket Board and Waqar Younis, who held a role within the PCB.

However, Younis has now quit his role and Zaka Ashraf has been promoted as the board's new chairman, a decision which has prompted Afridi to have a change of heart.

"I didn't as such retire, I only said I wouldn't play under the previous board," said Afridi. "I had problems with the previous board and team management and I had made it clear they didn't allow me to enjoy my cricket for Pakistan.

"My only desire is to play for Pakistan again and I welcome the new chairman of the board and am confident he will improve things in Pakistan cricket."

Afridi captained Pakistan to the semi-finals of the World Cup earlier this year.
