Stuart Binny and James Faulkner guide Rajasthan Royals to a four-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final over of the two side's opening IPL 2014 match.

Stuart Binny's unbeaten 48 saw Rajasthan Royals chase down Sunrisers Hyderabad's 133 in the final over of the two sides' opening IPL 2014 match in Abu Dhabi.

Binny guided the Royals into a winning position and James Faulkner's two fours off Bhuvneshwar Kumar saw them reach the target with three balls to spare.

Hyderabad lost Australian opener Aaron Finch early on for just two and then struggled to get going in their innings, with David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan unusually cautious on a slow wicket.

The pair took the Sunrisers to 77-1 before both falling to Rajat Bhatia, with Warner holding out to Kane Richardson for a 31 which included only one boundary, while the same man caught Dhawan for 38.

Hyderabad's base had been set but they failed to capitalise on it, losing wickets regularly to stutter to 133-6, with Richardson and Dhawal Kulkarni recording figures of 2-25 and 2-23 respectively.

Rajasthan lost captain Shane Watson, Abhishek Nayar and Sanju Samson for single figures early on in a chase which was anchored well by Ajinkya Rahane, who made a crucial 59 off 53 balls.

His rotating of the strike allowed Binny to play more expansively at the other end, and the Indian internationals put on 77 for the fourth wicket before Rahane was dismissed to leave the Royals on 108-4.

Brad Hodge and Bhatia quickly followed, and tight bowling from Dale Steyn ensured the match would go down to the wire, before all-rounder Faulkner lived up to his finisher tag with a pair of boundaries through the off side, from the only two balls that he faced, to earn Rajasthan a four-wicket victory.
