TNT Sports has launched across the UK and Ireland, replacing the BT Sport brand after 10 years.
The change comes after US giant Warner Bros. Discovery entered into a partnership with BT last year to bring the two broadcasters' assets under one roof.
The four main BT Sport channels, as well as the BT Sport Ultimate channel and the six overflow channels, all adopted 'TNT Sports' branding as of 6am this morning, in what is essentially a straight swap of services for the time being.
The two Eurosport channels are now sister services, providing TNT Sports with rights including the Olympics, the French Open, the Australian Open and cycling's Grand Tours. Eurosport will eventually adopt the TNT branding in the UK and Ireland following the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Customers who previously subscribed to BT Sport will automatically receive TNT Sports with no need for additional action, although Sky customers will now find TNT Sports 1 and 2 on EPG channels 410 and 411, with Eurosport 1 and 2 swapping out to 412 and 413.
The discovery+ app will become the new streaming home for TNT Sports content, alongside the existing Eurosport content, with the existing BT Sport app due to be shut down at some point later this year.
Subscribers to TNT Sports via BT TV will be able to access TNT on discovery+ starting from today, although customers who subscribe to TNT via Sky face a wait before gaining the enhanced access via discovery+.
Standard TNT Sports subscriptions are priced at £29.99 a month.
