James Argent rules out full-time TOWIE return

James Argent says that he is keen to return to The Only Way Is Essex to mark the show's 10th anniversary but rules out rejoining the cast full-time.

James 'Arg' Argent has revealed that he is keen to take part in a 10-year anniversary episode of The Only Way Is Essex but has ruled out making a permanent return.

The ITVBe reality show celebrates a decade on the air this October and producers are said to be planning to mark the occasion by bringing back former stars, including Mark Wright, Mario Falcone and Lauren Goodger, for a one-off special.

Arg, who this week revealed that he has been battling cocaine addiction for seven years, is an OG cast member and appeared on the show until the 23rd series in 2018.

"I'm proud to say I was on it from day one and I feel like it's my baby," Arg told The Sun. "But in terms of coming back and being a full time cast member, I think that chapter in my life has closed.

"There is talk of a ten-year anniversary reunion and I don't feel like you can have one unless I'm in it, right?"

The 26th series of TOWIE had been due to air in March but filming has been delayed due to the coronavirus lockdown.
