Arsenal reportedly have no intention of extending Alexandre Lacazette's contract beyond the summer.
The Frenchman is one of two senior strikers in the Arsenal ranks alongside Eddie Nketiah following Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's move to Barcelona, but he now has less than six months left to run on his deal.
Lyon director Vincent Ponsot has confirmed that Les Gones will try to re-sign Lacazette in the summer, with the 30-year-old free to enter discussions with foreign clubs over a pre-contract agreement.
A short-term extension at Arsenal has been mooted, but 90min now reports that the Gunners do not plan to offer Lacazette a new contract before his current one runs out.
The report adds that Lacazette's entourage have been in touch with the club over the possibility of a new deal, but the striker is now seemingly set to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Lacazette has bagged five goals and four assists in 22 appearances for Arsenal this term, taking his total for the club to 70 strikes and 32 assists in 192 games across all tournaments. body check tags ::
