Augsburg general manager Jurgen Rollmann admits an interest in Sunderland striker Ji Dong-Won.

Augsburg general manager Jurgen Rollmann has revealed that the Bundesliga outfit are interested in signing Sunderland striker Ji Dong-Won on loan.

The 21-year-old has not featured for the Black Cats this season after falling out of favour at the Stadium of Light and he is expected to depart the club in January.

"This is an interesting player for us. We have also been in touch with him. But we haven't yet put up an offer for him," Rollman told Augsburger Allgemeine Zeitung.

Augsburg currently sit bottom of the Bundesliga table with seven points.
