Sports Mole takes a closer look at how each individual player performed during Barcelona's 6-0 win over Elche in La Liga.

Neymar and Lionel Messi both scored twice as Barcelona thumped Elche 6-0 in La Liga on Saturday evening.

Gerard Pique and Pedro were also on the scoresheet for the visitors, who simply had too much for the hosts.

Here, Sports Mole takes a closer look at how each individual player performed during the La Liga clash.

ELCHE

Goal

Przemyslaw Tyton: Made a couple of smart saves and had little protection from his defence. That said, a goalkeeper who concedes six times simply cannot be given a generous mark. (5/10)

Defence

Damian Suarez: So often his side's driving force in wide positions, but the right-back struggled against Barcelona's interchanging attack, especially in the final 20 minutes. (5/10)

Enzo Roco: Performed marginally better than his centre-back partner, but it was still a difficult evening for Roco, who was pulled all over the pitch in the second period. (5/10)

Sergio Pelegrin: Had a torrid 90 minutes. Lucky to remain on the field after conceding a penalty while on a yellow card. Just could not deal with the pace and movement of Neymar. (4/10)

Domingo Cisma: Did not do too much wrong in terms of individual errors before leaving the field with an injury just past the hour mark. (5/10)

Midfield

Victor Rodriguez: Did his best to help his defence when possible and the Spaniard performed that job well, for the first period at least. Like his teammates, however, he struggled in the second. (5/10)

Mario Pasalic: Brought a smart save from Bravo in the second period, but the on-loan Chelsea midfielder really struggled against the likes of Xavi. (5/10)

Adrian Gonzalez: Sat in the middle of the Elche midfield, but really struggled to influence the match. Got caught in possession too often and was not strong enough in the tackle. (4/10)

Faycal Fajr: Was arguably Elche's best player in the first period, but he picked up a red card just before the hour mark, which put his team in all sorts of trouble. (5/10)

Aaron Niguez: Worked really hard in wide positions, but it never really happened for the Spaniard, who was replaced late on by Coro. (5/10)

Attack

Cristian Jonathas: Quite clearly on another level to the rest of his teammates. Had little service, but looked dangerous on the rare occasions that he was found in the final third. (6/10)

Substitutes

Edu Albacar: Replaced the injured Cisma after 61 minutes and was ultimately part of a defence that utterly collapsed in the latter stages. (5/10)

David Lomban: Replaced Adrian 20 minutes from time, but the defender's only real contribution was picking up a yellow card after 79 minutes. (5/10)

Coro: Only given the final 10 minutes and the midfielder saw little of the ball. (X/10)

BARCA

Goal

Claudio Bravo: Only really had one save to make, but the Chilean impressed with his distribution. Continues to keep fellow summer signing Marc-Andre ted Stegen out of the team. (6/10)

Defence

Martin Montoya: Continues to be linked with a move away this month, but is still getting minutes. Not as attack minded as Dani Alves, but gave a solid performance on the right of the defence. (7/10)

Gerard Pique: Another impressive match for the Spaniard, who showed excellent composure to open the scoring. Also dealt with anything that was thrown his way in defensive areas. (8/10)

Marc Bartra: Has been very solid in recent weeks and the centre-back was given another chance to shine here. Strong in the tackle and capable in possession of the ball. (7/10)

Jordi Alba: Linked well with Neymar in wide positions and Elche simply had no answer. Fired a brilliant volley just over the crossbar in the first period. (7/10)

Midfield

Javier Mascherano: Moved effortlessly into midfield as head coach Luis Enrique brought Bartra in at centre-back. Such a dependable player for the Catalan outfit. (7/10)

Xavi: Set up Pique for Barca's first with an excellent free kick, while he controlled the pace from a deep position. Was excellent on his return from a hamstring problem. (7/10)

Rafinha: Hardly put a foot wrong in the middle of the park. Needs to improve his influence in the final third, but the midfielder is such an excellent footballer. (7/10)

Attack

Neymar: Had a good first 68 minutes, but a stunning final 22 plus. Scored twice during that period, in addition to setting up Pedro with a beautiful cross late on. Also won his side's penalty. (9/10)

Lionel Messi: Scored twice and provided two assists for Neymar. Radiated class each time that he had possession, with Elche simply unable to contain the Argentine. (9/10)

Pedro: Was overshadowed by Messi and Neymar, but the Spaniard joined the party with a goal late on. That said, he did not really do enough to give Enrique a problem in terms of a recall for Luis Suarez. (7/10)

Substitutes

Adriano: Given the final 20 minutes and caused problems down Elche's right. (6/10)

Sergio Busquets: Stepped effortlessly into midfield after replacing Alba in the final 20 minutes. (7/10)

Sergi Roberto: Replaced Xavi after 72 minutes and the midfielder helped his team retain possession. (6/10)
