Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up with Erling Braut Haaland in their side next season should he join from Borussia Dortmund.

Erling Braut Haaland's future continues to be called into question, with the Norway international potentially on his way out of Borussia Dortmund during this summer's transfer window.

The 20-year-old has scored 49 times in 49 appearances for BVB since his arrival from Red Bull Salzburg in January 2020, including 33 goals in 31 outings in all competitions during the 2020-21 campaign.

Barcelona have financial problems, but the Catalan giants are said to be firmly in the hunt for Haaland.

Indeed, a recent report claimed that the club will attempt to sell both Antoine Griezmann and Philippe Coutinho during this summer's transfer window in order to potentially fund a move for the Norwegian.

Barca are likely to face intense competition for the striker, though, as the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are also believed to be interested in his signature.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Ronald Koeman's side could line up if Haaland were to arrive this summer.

Barca's plans for this summer have not yet been confirmed, but there is no question that they will have to sell, freeing up wages in the process, in order to invest, especially if they want to sign Haaland.

Liverpool's Georginio Wijnaldum, Manchester City's Eric Garcia and Lyon's Memphis Depay are still said to be targets on free transfers, while as mentioned above, Griezmann and Coutinho could move on; there is also doubt over the future of Ousmane Dembele, with the France international also potentially available for transfer.

The club are working to convince Lionel Messi to sign a new deal, with it now appearing likely that he could stay at Camp Nou, and the chance to play alongside Haaland next season would surely appeal to the Argentine.

Pedri is having a standout season for Barca and is allegedly a key part of the team's plans moving forward, while Ansu Fati – out since November with a knee injury - should be fit and firing for the start of next season.

A front four of Fati, Pedri, Messi and Haaland should make the Catalan giants an incredibly exciting team to watch once again, but it is unlikely that much business, other than free transfers, would be conducted elsewhere if Haaland were to arrive due to the numbers involved in the deal.

As a result, the likes of Jordi Alba, Gerard Pique and Sergio Busquets are set to remain important figures for the club, but Clement Lenglet's spot at the back could be under severe threat from Garcia. body check tags ::
