Barcelona are reportedly set to lose out to RB Leipzig in the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Tanguy Kouassi ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
The 17-year-old has featured on 13 occasions for PSG during the 2019-20 season, contributing three goals in the process from a defensive position.
The France Under-18 international will see his contract in the French capital expire this summer, though, and the youngster is not expected to sign an extension with Thomas Tuchel's side.
Barca have been linked with a move for the centre-back, but according to L'Equipe, Leipzig are currently in pole position to sign Kouassi on a free transfer.
The teenager has been with PSG since 2016, progressing through the youth system before making his professional debut in the latter stages of 2019.
Newcastle United are also allegedly keeping a close eye on developments.
