Report: Championship clubs monitor Stephen Dawson

A report claims that a number of Championship clubs are interested in Barnsley midfielder Stephen Dawson.

A number of Championship clubs are reportedly interested in moving for Barnsley midfielder Stephen Dawson in the January transfer window.

The 28-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular first-team role at Oakwell this season, but is highly rated in the Championship.

According to Sky Sports News, the former Leyton Orient midfielder has attracted the attention of a number of teams, with his current deal due to expire at the end of the season.

Dawson started his career with Leicester City, while he has also played for Mansfield Town, Bury and Orient.
