How Bolivia could line up against Uruguay

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Bolivia could line up for Thursday's Copa America clash with Uruguay.

Bolivia are expected to remain without talismanic forward Marcelo Moreno for Thursday's Copa America clash with Uruguay, after he was one of several people in the camp to test positive for COVID-19 at the beginning of the tournament.

In his absence, Gilbert Alvarez has been the main man in attack, but he is yet to make an impact, with Bolivia's only goal in the group stage so far coming from an Erwin Saavedra penalty.

Jaume Cuellar will return from his suspension, though, and he should immediately rejoin Alvarez to offer Bolivia another option going forward.

Despite losing both of their opening games, goalkeeper Carlos Lampe has put in two inspired performances to keep his side in the matches, and they will hope for more heroics for this clash.

In front of him, the back four of Diego Bejarano, Jairo Quinteros, Adrian Jusino and Roberto Fernandez should remain unchanged after a fairly commendable performance against a strong Chile outfit last time out, as Bolivia fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat.

Leonel Justiniano will keep his place in the middle alongside 21-year-old Ramiro Vaca, who has recently broken into the side with some impressive performances domestically for The Strongest.

Without Moreno, their biggest attacking assets are in the wide areas, with Juan Carlos Arce and Saavedra expected to cause plenty of problems for the Uruguay full-backs.

Arce has netted 12 goals in 77 appearances for his nation from a wide midfield role, and La Verde may be reliant on him adding to that tally if they are to secure a result.

Bolivia possible starting lineup: Lampe; Bejarano, Jusino, Quinteros, Fernandez; Arce, Vaca, Justiniano, Saavedra; Cuellar, Alvarez
