How Brazil could line up against England

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Brazil could line up for Saturday's international friendly against England.

Brazil head coach Dorival Junior will take charge of the Selecao for the first time on Saturday evening, when the South American giants visit Wembley for an international friendly with England.

The five-time world champions travel to the capital with a highly inexperienced troupe of players, 11 of whom are yet to make their senior debuts for their country, while five revered names have been forced to withdraw injured.

Arsenal duo Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli are among them, while Paris Saint-Germain's Marquinhos, Manchester City's Ederson and Manchester United's Casemiro have also left the national team setup to recover from their issues.

With both Ederson and stricken Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker injured, either Bento, Leo Jardim or Rafael will be capped for the first time in goal on Saturday, and the former - who represents Athletico Paranaense in his homeland - could get the nod.

Defensive debuts could also come the way of PSG's Lucas Beraldo and Porto's Wendell - who nullified the threat of Bukayo Saka expertly against Arsenal in the Champions League - in a backline also comprising Juventus teammates Bremer and Danilo.

Casemiro's absence opens up a spot for Aston Villa's Douglas Luiz to partner Bruno Guimaraes in the engine room, although fellow Premier League representative Lucas Paqueta may lose out to Real Madrid's Rodrygo for the number 10 slot.

La Liga counterparts Vinicius Junior and Raphinha are in line to start either side of Rodrygo, and all three ought to be offering support to Richarlison, the current leading scorer in the Brazil squad with 20 strikes to his name.

Brazil possible starting lineup:
Bento; Danilo, Bremer, Beraldo, Wendell; Guimaraes, Luiz; Raphinha, Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr; Richarlison
