Cardiff boss is keen to add Liverpool's Clyne to his Cardiff squad.

Cardiff boss Neil Warnock is hoping for quick signings after confirming his interest in Liverpool's Nathaniel Clyne.

The Bluebirds want to sign the Liverpool right-back, who has made just five appearances for the Reds this season.

They moved three points clear of the Premier League relegation zone with a 1-0 win at Leicester on Saturday.

The transfer window opens on Tuesday and Warnock is eager to bolster his squad to aid Cardiff's survival bid.

Warnock said: "We've got nine or 10 concrete enquiries in at the moment, obviously we're not going to sign them all.

"But you've got to do that, we're looking to strengthen this team. Results like this will help me, we're not adrift at the bottom of the table.

"People might think, 'I don't want to go to a team at the bottom of the table' but it's difficult to bring players in.

"I won't do it if they're not better than the ones we've got, even though I know we need a bigger squad.

"We spoke about Clyne months ago, but then he got back into the Liverpool team against Manchester United, then they had a few injuries, so things change.

"But honestly, we've got nothing set for any position at the moment, I'm hoping that changes this week."

Real Betis loanee Victor Camarasa scored from 25 yards to snatch victory in stoppage time at the King Power Stadium.

He netted towards the end of Neil Etheridge's inspired performance, which saw him save James Maddison's second-half penalty.

Despite being confident of keeping Camarasa in January, Warnock is yet to consider a longer stay.

He added: "I'm 70 years old, I don't even think beyond this week. I don't even worry about that, you can ask him if you want."

Leicester failed to build on victories over Chelsea and Manchester City but boss Claude Puel insisted two wins from three games was still a good return.

He said: "It's not bad to take six points from those three games, but there was frustration here, we made another strong game.

"With the penalty, it would've been interesting to have taken that chance. Afterwards it would've been a different situation.

"The most important game was the one against Cardiff, we were at home, it was the first game of the second half of the season.

"Playing away at Chelsea and then against Manchester City was a challenge, and a pleasure to have taken something from those games.

"Those games were fantastic and we knew it was important to try and win a third game. Football sometimes is difficult."
