Carlisle United have sanctioned six players for enjoying a night out before Sunday's defeat to York City.
Members of the squad were seen out drinking after the team's Boxing Day victory over Morecambe, less than 48 hours ahead of their match with York.
"We do not deem such actions as tolerable at this football club," manager Keith Curle told Carlisle's official website.
"We are bound by regulations and, following discussions with the individuals involved, we have imposed a maximum fine and have introduced the removal of certain professional privileges for the maximum allowed period.
"We need to make it clear that the club, the staff and, more importantly, the fans expect a certain level of professionalism from the players who represent them. I am sure this is a situation we will not face again."
Carlisle are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Newport County in League Two.
