Chelsea have expressed an interest in signing Burnley forward Ashley Barnes, according to a report.
The Blues are believed to be in the market for a tall target man this month and have been linked with the likes of Andy Carroll and Peter Crouch.
However, West Ham United striker Carroll is injured and Crouch only signed a new Stoke City deal at the end of last year, prompting Chelsea to look elsewhere.
According to Sky Sports News, Barnes is the latest name on the radar of the reigning Premier League champions.
The 6'1" forward has featured in 23 of Burnley's 24 games so far this term but has just four goals to his name, in addition to only three Premier League starts.
Barnes has spent the vast majority of his professional career in the lower leagues, having played for the likes of Plymouth Argyle, Oxford United and Torquay United.
