Sports Mole analyses how each individual player performed during Elche's 2-2 draw with Villarreal in La Liga.

Elche came from two goals behind to draw 2-2 against Villarreal in La Liga on Saturday evening.

Goals from Luciano Vietto and Ikechukwu Uche had left the visitors with a 2-0 lead inside 17 minutes, however, the hosts fought back through Jonathas and Victor Rodriguez to secure a share of the spoils.

Villarreal missed the chance to move fourth in the table, while Elche remain bottom despite securing a point.

Here, Sports Mole analyses how each individual player performed during the Spanish affair.

ELCHE

Goal

Przemyslaw Tyton: Should have done much better in the build-up to Villarreal's second, but improved in the second period - making a number of vital saves. (6/10)

Defence

Damian Suarez: Cleared two off the line during a strong performance from the full-back. Was his usual tenacious self in defensive areas. (7/10)

David Lomban: Found Vietto and Uche difficult to contain in the first period, but worked his way into the match. Made a number of crucial challenges in the latter stages. (7/10)

Sergio Pelegrin: Was guilty of ball-watching when Villarreal raced into a two-goal lead. However, like a number of his teammates, the defender grew into the match. (6/10)

Domingo Cisma: Recovered from a slow start to produce a solid display. Did not feature too heavily in the final third, but helped frustrate Villarreal in the second 45 minutes. (7/10)

Midfield

Adrian: Found it difficult to influence proceedings. Was outshone by Rodrigues on the opposite side. (6/10)

Mario Pasalic: Guilty of missing a couple of chances in the early stages, but the midfielder put in an energetic performance in the middle of the park. (6/10)

Faycal Fajr: Showed some nice touches on the ball, but was guilty of some poor play-acting, especially in the second period. (6/10)

Garry Rodrigues: Used his pace to frighten the life out of the Villarreal defence. Set up Jonathas with a beautiful cross for Elche's first of the evening. (7/10)

Victor Rodriguez: Levelled the scores after 35 minutes with a sensational strike that clipped the inside of the post. Was eventually withdrawn in the latter stages. (7/10)

Attack

Jonathas: Netted Eibar's first of the match with a brilliant first-time finish. Caused the Villarreal defence a number of problems with his movement in the final third of the field. (7/10)

Substitutes

Aaron Niguez: Had a couple of half-chances during an open final 10 minutes. (6/10)

Coro: Only given the final seven minutes and hardly saw the ball. (5/10)

VILLARREAL

Goal

Sergio Asenjo: Could not do anything with either Elche goal, while he made a number of smart saves, especially in the first period. A solid display from the Spaniard. (7/10)

Defence

Mario Gaspar: Always a threat in the final third of the field, while the Spaniard was solid in defensive areas. Has been a very dependable performer this season. (7/10)

Victor Ruiz: On-loan Valencia defender has had a strong season for Villarreal, but he was a little off-colour here. Allowed Jonathas too much space during periods of the match. (6/10)

Gabriel Paulista: Was guilty of allowing Jonathas to break free for Elche's first of the match. That aside, the centre-back had a fairly solid evening. (6/10)

Jaume Costa: Got forward just as much as Mario, but his delivery was unpredictable. Picked up a booking early in the second period following an altercation with Jonathas. (6/10)

Midfield

Bruno Soriano: So often the conductor for Villarreal, but the midfielder could not make his presence known here. Showed his ability in possession, but needed more from those around him. (6/10)

Manu Trigueros: Missed a golden chance to send his side ahead late in the first period. Also let his side down with a number of disappointing set-pieces. (6/10)

Moi Gomez: Set up Vietto for Villarreal's first of the match with an excellent cross, but the talented midfielder faded in the second period. (6/10)

Attack

Luciano Vietto: Opened the scoring with a clever finish after 12 minutes and caused Elche problems with his pace and movement. Not as involved in the second period, though. (7/10)

Ikechukwu Uche: Was in the right place at the right time to score his side's second of the match, while the Nigerian also set up a couple more chances in the second period. (7/10)

Denis Cheryshev: Has been one of the stars of the season thus far, but the Russian could not make his mark here despite a couple of half-chances and dangerous deliveries. (7/10)

Substitutes

Jonathan dos Santos: Had a golden chance to win it late on, but the Mexican's goal-bound effort was blocked. It was a surprise that the midfielder was left on the bench. (6/10)

Giovani dos Santos: Largely anonymous during his 15 minutes on the field. (5/10)
