England Under-21s striker Harry Kane reveals that he and his teammates were frustrated to let a two-goal lead slip in their defeat to France.

England Under-21s striker Harry Kane has admitted that the side were disappointed to taste defeat for the first time in 11 games in their 3-2 loss to France.

Gareth Southgate's men saw their 11-game winning streak snapped, despite taking a 2-0 lead through two strikes from Kane.

However, the home side rallied through a brace from Yaya Sanogo, and in the second half Kingsley Coman fired them to victory.

"It's good to get on the scoresheet again, but as a collective we're disappointed that we've lost the game after going 2-0 up," Kane told the FA's official website.

"These are the sort of tests that we're going to be up against. It's unfortunate that we lost the game but we'll learn from it and take it into next year.

"They were a good side, they're physical and they've got good ability, but they didn't make it through to the Euros so that shows how good this competition is."

The defeat was the first under Southgate's tenure with the Young Lions.
