Fulham are reportedly keen on securing a deal for Paris Saint-Germain forward Hugo Ekitike before the end of the summer transfer window.

The Cottagers have just parted ways with key man Aleksandar Mitrovic after last season's top goalscorer expressed a willingness to sign for Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal.

Marco Silva is not short of central options for the final third having brought in Raul Jimenez from Wolverhampton Wanderers, but the Portuguese is known to want to sign an alternative to Mitrovic.

According to The Sun, the Premier League outfit have identified Ekitike as a potential addition and could move for the player over the coming days.

Ekitike enjoyed a respectable first season in the colours of PSG, chipping in with three goals and four assists from his 25 outings in Ligue 1.

Nevertheless, the 21-year-old has been provided with just eight minutes of football during the opening two games of this campaign, and the suggestion is that PSG may be prepared to sell the player if they receive a bid in excess of £30m.

Meanwhile, Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Steven Alzate is reportedly attracting interest from each of Sevilla and Fiorentina.

The versatile Colombian has made over 50 appearances for the Seagulls, chipping in with three goals and two assists, but he spent the majority of last season on loan at Standard Liege.

Despite impressing at the Belgian outfit during 2022-23, the 24-year-old is now back at his parent club, and he was left out of the squad for the 4-1 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

While Alzate has the qualities to become a valuable member of the squad during a hectic schedule, The Telegraph claims that Sevilla and Fiorentina are each monitoring the situation.

Both the Spanish and Italian clubs are competing in Europe this campaign and theoretically view Alzate as important competition for a number of positions.

With Alzate having less than a year remaining on his contract, the South Coast outfit are open to cashing in on his services.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa winger Jaden Philogene is allegedly on the brink of signing for Hull City.

The 21-year-old came off the substitutes' bench as Villa lost 5-1 to Newcastle United on the opening day of the season, but he was not part of the squad for the next fixture against Everton.

With Villa having lost Emiliano Buendia until at least March, it was plausible that the academy graduate could remain in the West Midlands to provide backup.

Instead, HullLive says that Philogene may link up with the Tigers on a permanent basis.

Philogene is no stranger to Championship football having spent time with Stoke City and Cardiff City, contributing a total of five goals and one assist from 48 appearances in the second tier. body check tags ::
