Joaquin Caparros has been named as the new coach of Levante on a one-year deal.
The 57-year-old will replace Juan Ignacio Martinez, who is due to officially leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the month.
Caparros has been out of work since being sacked by Real Mallorca in February.
Levante finished last season in 11th place in the La Liga table.
