Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League showdown with Tottenham Hotspur.

Liverpool come into their clash against Tottenham Hotspur off the back of a comfortable 4-1 win over Genk in the Champions League last time out.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp took the opportunity to rotate his midfield, with Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain starting either side of Fabinho in the centre and impressing.

Klopp was also forced into several other changes due to injury, but the side retained enough quality to dismantle their Belgian opposition.

The Reds host a Spurs side yet to win an away game in all competitions this season.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up their latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Xherdan Shaqiri

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: November 10 (vs. Manchester City)

The Swiss winger was expected to be fit again this week but has not progressed as expected and is now scheduled to be out until mid-November, missing games against Arsenal and Genk in which he could well have started.

Trent Alexander-Arnold

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: October 27 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)

The right-back missed the Reds' 4-1 win over Genk, with James Milner filling in for the youngster. The Liverpool academy product has a chance of recovering from his illness in time for the clash against Spurs.

Joel Matip

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: October 27 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)

Matip also sat out the Champions League outing against Genk, with Dejan Lovren replacing him in the side. The central defender has been struggling with a knee injury but could be fit to play against Tottenham.

Nathaniel Clyne

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

The right-back's ACL injury is set to keep him out for the best part of the season, leaving Klopp short of cover for Alexander-Arnold.
