Liverpool are reportedly preparing to rival Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain for the signature of AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.

The 24-year-old enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 campaign at club level, scoring 14 times and registering six assists in 50 appearances, but his deal at San Siro is due to expire next summer.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Kessie has rejected Milan's recent contract offer, and the Italian side are now facing the prospect of losing him on a free transfer.

The report claims that Liverpool are keen on signing the Ivorian, but the Reds are expected to face competition from both Tottenham and PSG.

Kessie is believed to be looking for a contract of €8m (£6.9m) per year plus €2m (£1.7m) in bonuses, and PSG have allegedly signalled that they would be prepared to meet his demands.

The midfielder has scored 30 times and registered 15 assists in 184 appearances for Milan since arriving at the club from Atalanta BC. body check tags ::
