Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Leicester City

:Headline: Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Leicester City: ID:357671: from db_amp
Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League meeting with Leicester City.

Manchester City take on Leicester City on Monday night knowing that victory could leave them on the brink of winning the Premier League title.

A defeat for Liverpool at Newcastle United on Saturday evening will give City the opportunity to retain the top-flight crown at the Etihad Stadium, but the title race will go to the final weekend if the Merseyside giants avoid defeat at St James' Park.

Pep Guardiola witnessed his side remain ahead of Liverpool with a hard-fought 1-0 triumph over Burnley at Turf Moor on Sunday afternoon.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for City ahead of welcoming Brendan Rodgers's side.

MANCHESTER CITY'S INJURY LIST

Fernandinho

Status: Doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: May 6

Fernandinho picked up a knee problem against Manchester United last week, and it was enough to keep the Brazilian out of the game at Burnley. The midfielder will continue to be assessed ahead of the encounter with Leicester.

Kevin De Bruyne

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: May 6

Guardiola has previously stated that Kevin De Bruyne is making progress in his recovery from a hamstring injury, but the Belgian is unlikely to be in contention for a place in the squad against the East Midlands outfit.

Claudio Bravo

Status: Out
Type of injury: Achilles
Possible return date: Unknown

Claudio Bravo is unlikely to return to the squad before the end of the season, despite progressing with his recovery from an Achilles injury.

MANCHESTER CITY'S SUSPENSION LIST

Man City have no players who will sit out this encounter through suspension.
