Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs insists that his side did enough to deserve three points against Real Sociedad.

Manchester United's Ryan Giggs has insisted that his side should have defeated Real Sociedad in the Champions League following this evening's goalless draw.

The veteran midfielder believes that his side created enough chances to win the game, and expressed disappointment with the result

"Tonight we controlled the game, we had two or three great chances and probably should have won it. We are happy with the performance, but disappointed we didn't get the win," BBC Sport quotes the Welshman as saying.

"If you get a point away from home and win your home games you go through and we are on track to do that."

Giggs went on to say that he is confident United can make it through the group stage of the competition, with fixtures against Shakhtar Donetsk and Bayer Leverkusen still to play.

"We will try and qualify but we have two tough games to come. We have played Shakhtar and Leverkusen so we know what they are all about and we are confident we can go through."

United are top of Group A after four matches, with two wins and two draws.
