Sports Mole looks at Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez's scoring record against Chelsea ahead of Monday's FA Cup tie at Stamford Bridge.

Manchester United head to Stamford Bridge on Monday night for the pick of the FA Cup fifth-round ties, aiming to build on their 3-1 win against Arsenal in the last round.

The Red Devils have been handed a tough route to the quarter-finals, but they have won 10 out of 12 matches under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - including that impressive triumph at the Emirates Stadium last month - and will be confident of remaining on course for a 13th triumph in this competition.

Solskjaer has a couple of big selection calls to make for the trip to West London, as Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard are nursing injuries and Alexis Sanchez is also carrying a slight knock.

Sanchez is expected to be fit in time for Monday's match, however, and he is in line for a recall in the forward line.

With that in mind, Sports Mole looks at the Chilean forward's record against Chelsea.

Chelsea supporters will need no reminding of Sanchez's influence during his three-and-a-half years at Arsenal, as he scored an early opener for the Gunners in their 2-1 victory in the 2017 final.

Sanchez had far less impact when facing off against the Blues for new club United in last season's showpiece final, though, producing a terrible individual display as Chelsea claimed a 1-0 win.

The 30-year-old has scored just one other goal against the West London outfit, with that coming in a 3-0 league win for former club Arsenal in September 2016.

As well as having an underwhelming goalscoring return against Chelsea, Sanchez has also been on the winning side just three times in 15 attempts.

However, Sanchez has been involved in 19 goals in 20 FA Cup games (10 goals, nine assists), which is more than any other player since his first appearance in the competition.
