Borussia Dortmund are reportedly willing to pay £35m to re-sign Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho on a permanent basis during this summer's transfer window.

The 23-year-old returned to BVB on loan in January following the breakdown of his relationship with Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag.

Sancho has scored twice and registered two assists in 10 appearances for Dortmund since his switch back to the club, including a goal against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

As it stands, the Englishman will return to Old Trafford this summer, and he has another two years left to run on his contract with the Red Devils.

However, a recent report claimed that Sancho is determined to force a permanent exit at the end of the 2023-24 campaign, as he is not prepared to play under Ten Hag again.

According to The Sun, BVB are preparing to make a £35m offer to re-sign Sancho this summer, and Man United are said to be ready to accept the terms.

The report claims that the ex-Manchester City youngster will not play again for Man United unless Ten Hag is sacked, which is a possibility.

However, even if Ten Hag is relieved of his duties, a permanent exit is still likely for Sancho this summer, with the forward failing to make his mark for Man United since arriving in 2021.

The Englishman has only managed 12 goals and six assists in 82 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions and has struggled to show the type of form that made him one of the most in-demand attackers in European football during his first spell at Dortmund.

Sancho featured off the bench in Man United's first three matches of the current Premier League season but was then left out of the squad against Arsenal at the start of September.

Ten Hag said that poor performances on the training ground had led to him being omitted, but Sancho insisted that was not the case in a post on social media, claiming that he had been made "a scapegoat".

Having seemingly refused to apologise for effectively calling his manager a liar, Sancho was removed from the first-team picture entirely at Old Trafford.

A number of clubs were linked with his services in the build-up to the January transfer window, but Dortmund re-signed him on January 11, and he has been a regular since his return to Westfalenstadion.
