Juventus are reportedly offered the chance to sign Manchester United striker Anthony Martial, whose contract at Old Trafford expires in 2024.

Juventus have been offered the chance to sign Manchester United striker Anthony Martial this summer, according to a report.

On the back of a disappointing loan spell with Sevilla in the second half of the 2021-22 season, Martial remained at Old Trafford to try to make a name for himself under Erik ten Hag.

The signs were promising for the ex-Monaco starlet in pre-season, but he has been plagued by injuries in the regular campaign, spending time out with back, Achilles, hamstring and hip concerns.

It has also been alleged that Ten Hag has run out of patience with the Frenchman, who reacted negatively to being substituted in last weekend's 1-0 win over Bournemouth.

Martial has still managed a respectable nine goals and three assists from 28 appearances, though, including two goals from his last three Premier League games against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Chelsea.

However, the 27-year-old's contract at Old Trafford is due to expire in 2024, and the Red Devils are not expected to take up their option of a further year as they attempt to sign a new big-name striker in the summer.

According to Calciomercato, Italian giants Juventus have now been offered the chance to sign Martial by intermediaries, and the Bianconeri have been tracking him for a number of years.

The Turin giants added Dusan Vlahovic to their attacking ranks in January 2022, but the Serbia international has been unable to replicate the goalscoring form from his Fiorentina days.

Speculation over Vlahovic's future has begun to intensify amid Juve's delicate situation on and off the field, with Massimiliano Allegri's side recently being docked another 10 points for financial irregularities.

Juve's initial 15-point deduction was overturned in April, but the Bianconeri's latest punishment has bumped them down to seventh place in the Serie A table with just two games remaining.

Juventus director Francesco Calvo has insisted that Vlahovic is still not for sale this summer, but Manchester United and Chelsea could try to take advantage of the Old Lady's predicament with a swoop for the 23-year-old.

As a result, Martial could arrive in Turin as a replacement for Vlahovic, but there is nothing to suggest that the two players could be used in any sort of part-exchange deal between the two clubs.

Man United forked out £52.2m to sign a teenage Martial from Monaco in 2015, and the striker has since amassed 88 goals and 53 assists in 297 games for the Red Devils in all competitions.

Martial is expected to be one of two strikers on the way out of Old Trafford this summer, as Burnley loanee Wout Weghorst has scored just twice since joining in January and is unlikely to be signed on a permanent basis.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is still believed to be Man United's top attacking target for the summer, while Napoli's Victor Osimhen and Eintracht Frankfurt's Randal Kolo Muani have also been linked with moves to the Theatre of Dreams.
