Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly attempting to engineer a move to Al-Nassr for Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes during this summer's transfer window.

Fernandes's future is currently the subject of much speculation, with a number of clubs, including Bayern Munich, believed to be keen to sign him during the upcoming market.

There has also been suggestions of interest from the Saudi Pro League, with the division capable of such a move due to their huge financial power.

According to the Daily Star, Al-Nassr forward Ronaldo is pushing for Fernandes to make the move to his club during the upcoming market.

The report claims that Fernandes is Al-Nassr's number one target for the summer window, with Ronaldo eyeing a reunion with his current Portugal and former Man United teammate.

Al Nassr 'want to sign Man United captain Fernandes'

Ronaldo has scored 42 goals and registered 13 assists in 42 appearances for his current side during the current season.

Meanwhile, the 39-year-old has 56 goals and 15 assists in 61 outings for his Saudi Arabian outfit since arriving on a free transfer after his exit from Man United.

Fernandes, meanwhile, has again been in strong form for the Red Devils this term, managing 15 goals and 12 assists in 47 appearances in all competitions.

The 29-year-old has a contract at Old Trafford until June 2026, but it has been claimed that he wants a new and improved deal in order to stay with the 20-time English champions.

Fernandes is currently preparing to represent Man United in the FA Cup final, and he will then link up with the Portugal squad ahead of Euro 2024.

Man United 'planning to keep hold of Fernandes'

After last week's Premier League clash with Newcastle United, Fernandes expressed a desire to stay with Man United amid the speculation surrounding his future.

"I will be here until when the club wants me and the club wants me to be a part of the future," he told Sky Sports News. "If for some reason they don't want me, then I will go."

Man United head coach Erik ten Hag also said in his post-match press conference that the club were planning to keep hold of Fernandes.

It is therefore difficult to imagine the Portuguese moving on this summer, even if the Red Devils receive a huge bid, as he is such an integral part of their plans moving forward.

Fernandes has scored 79 goals and registered 65 assists in 232 appearances for Man United in all competitions, and he will be bidding to lead the team to success in the FA Cup final against Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
