Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has offered himself to Serie A side Roma ahead of a possible move this summer, according to a report.
The 25-year-old has found opportunities at Old Trafford significantly limited since making the £35m from Ajax back in 2020, and was even sent out on loan to Everton for the second half of the 2021-22 campaign back in January.
However, the Dutchman featured only seven times for Frank Lampard's side before returning to United ahead of the arrival of Erik ten Hag in the dugout.
Ten Hag, Van de Beek's former manager at Ajax, has already begun work at United due to the major overhaul required at the club in the upcoming transfer window, but the midfielder was said to be part of the 52-year-old's plans following their successful relationship in the Netherlands.
Van de Beek was part of Ten Hag's Ajax side that impressed many to reach the Champions League semi-finals in 2019, but despite the reunion with his former boss, the 25-year-old is said to be seeking a move to Italy this summer, according to Corriere della Sera.
The Italian outlet report that the United man wishes to leave Old Trafford again in the coming weeks, and is keen on a move to Serie A with Jose Mourinho's Roma side, where he has reportedly offered himself to in order to force through a move.
Meanwhile, despite the return of Van de Beek from his loan spell on Merseyside, Ten Hag is said to be chasing reinforcements for the centre of midfield ahead of the 2022-23 campaign following the departures of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic on free transfers, with the likes of Frenkie de Jong and Ruben Neves linked with a move to the Red Devils.
