Michael O'Neill: 'Kyle Lafferty has it all'

Northern Ireland boss Michael O'Neill hails the form of striker Kyle Lafferty after he scored two goals in the Euro 2016 qualification win over Finland.

Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill has expressed his belief that club bosses in England should be looking to sign Kyle Lafferty after his performance in the Euro 2016 qualifier against Finland on Sunday.

The Caykur Rizespor striker scored twice in the 2-1 victory at Windsor Park which kept O'Neill's men on course to qualify for next year's finals in France.

Lafferty moved from Norwich City to the Turkish side in January in an attempt to earn game time in his preferred forward position, and O'Neill has conceded that 27-year-old has struggled to live up to his potential at club level.

"Kyle's going on the pitch for Northern Ireland believing he's capable of scoring in every game," O'Neill told the Belfast Telegraph.

"He's in the David Healy situation where things at club level maybe aren't going as well as he'd like, given his move to Norwich and subsequent loan move to Rizespor, but when he's played for us in this campaign he's been outstanding.

"I'm delighted for Kyle. I think there's so much potential in him as a player and it's nice to see him start to fulfil that."

Lafferty has netted five goals in five Euro qualifiers.
