Mark Warburton: Rangers win "very pleasing"

Rangers manager Mark Warburton admits that his side's 6-2 win over Hibernian in the Scottish Challenge Cup is "very pleasing".

Mark Warburton has described Rangers' win over Hibernian in the Scottish Challenge Cup as "very pleasing".

The Glasgow side secured a 6-2 victory over their Scottish Championship rivals at Easter Road, despite going a goal down early on.

The manager told BBC Sport: "They came in at 2-1 [at half time] and built from there. Hopefully there's still a long way to go.

"To come here and get that result is obviously very pleasing. Depth of squad will be important and the substitutes made a difference when they came on."

Rangers beat Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership playoffs last season, but were unable to secure promotion in the final.
