Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has said that neither Eder Militao nor Karim Benzema will be involved in Sunday's La Liga contest with Mallorca.

The duo were forced off against Valencia on Thursday evening with injuries, and Ancelotti has said that both players are currently "undergoing tests" to determine the extent of the damage.

Neither will be involved against Mallorca, but the Real Madrid boss does not believe that either issue has the potential to be a long-term problem, with the duo likely to feature at the upcoming Club World Cup.

"Militao and Benzema are undergoing tests now, it doesn't seem serious. I think they will travel to the Club World Cup, I don't know if they will be available for the first or second game," Ancelotti told reporters during his press conference on Saturday afternoon. "Militao and Benzema won't play tomorrow."

Ancelotti was also again asked about Benzema's future, with the centre-forward's contract at Bernabeu due to expire at the end of June.

"As I said, all the Real Madrid legends have to finish their careers here," he responded when asked for an update on a potential new deal for the Frenchman.

Ancelotti also said that he 'does not know anything' when it comes to the future of Toni Kroos, who is also out of contract at the end of the campaign.

"I don't know anything about the renewal of Toni Kroos. He will discuss it with the club," he added.

Kroos is believed to be considering retiring from football altogether this summer, while fellow midfielder Luka Modric also only has a deal at Bernabeu until the end of June.

Ancelotti also detailed his unhappiness at the fact that Real Madrid will play before Barcelona tomorrow despite being in action on Thursday night against Valencia, when Xavi's side played on Wednesday against Real Betis.

"Playing before Barcelona tomorrow? We are definitely not happy because we have had less than 72 hours of rest. This is not correct," added the Real Madrid head coach.

"Mallorca has one of the best defences. They're a very good team, they're solid and defend well."

Real Madrid will be in Club World Cup action next week, with their semi-final set for February 8, before returning to La Liga action against Elche on February 15.

Los Blancos will then take on Osasuna in Spain's top flight on February 18 before travelling to Liverpool for the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash three days later.
