Javier Hernandez scored twice as Real Madrid beat Celta Vigo 4-2 in La Liga on Sunday evening.
Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez were also on the scoresheet for the visitors, while Nolito and Santi Mina registered for Celta in what was an end-to-end contest.
Celta opened the scoring after nine minutes, but Real Madrid led 3-2 at the interval, before Hernandez scored the only goal of the second period.
Los Blancos are once again two points behind the leaders Barcelona, while Celta remain ninth.
Here, Sports Mole takes a closer look at how each player performed in Vigo.
CELTA VIGO
Goal
Sergio Alvarez: Cannot be blamed for any of the Real Madrid goals, while the Spaniard did make a couple of smart saves. Needed more protection from those ahead of him. (6/10)
Defence
Hugo Mallo: Had a brilliant chance to level the scores early in the second period, but fired into the side-netting. Effective going forward, but struggled when Real Madrid counter-attacked. (6/10)
Andreu Fontas: Showed composure in possession of the ball, but the centre-back was pulled all over the pitch by Hernandez and should have done better with Real Madrid's fourth goal. (5/10)
Gustavo Cabral: Did not do much wrong in terms of a standout error, but the 29-year-old also found Real Madrid difficult to contain when the pace of the game lifted. (5/10)
Jonny Castro: Like Mallo, the full-back was always prepared to break forward and try his luck from distance, but he struggled against the pace of Ronaldo in wide areas. (6/10)
Midfield
Augusto Fernandez: Tasked with protecting his back four, but the midfielder was more concerned pressing forward. Had a couple of long-range attempts, but failed to make his mark. (6/10)
Michael Krohn-Dehli: Has been excellent in a deeper role this season and the midfielder had another strong game here. Demonstrated his wonderful range of passing throughout the game. (7/10)
Fabian Orellana: Caused a lot of problems when he collected the ball in the final third and should have won a penalty from Kroos. Was replaced by Theo Bongonda for the final 20 minutes. (7/10)
Attack
Nolito: Really unfortunate to be on the losing side in Vigo. Scored the first goal of the match and was a constant threat in the final third. One of the best players on the field. (8/10)
Santi Mina: Has hit the headlines in recent weeks and the 19-year-old now has a goal against Real Madrid to his name. Caused problems with his pace and movement in the final third. (7/10)
Joaquin Larrivey: Picked up a nasty cut in a first-half aerial challenge with Ramos and was forced to leave the field on a number of occasions in the second period. Frustrating evening. (6/10)
Substitutes
Theo Bongonda: Replaced Orellana after 70 minutes, but failed to make his mark in the final third, especially when Real Madrid switched to three centre-backs. (5/10)
Charles: Only given the final 15 minutes, but the lively striker got on the end of a couple of crosses and caused problems with his movement inside the penalty area. (6/10)
Pablo Hernandez: Not much of note during his 15-minute cameo. (5/10)
REAL MADRID
Goal
Iker Casillas: Did not have too much to do in terms of saves, but might have done a little bit better with the first goal. Seemed to react awfully late to Nolito's low attempt. (6/10)
Defence
Dani Carvajal: Always a threat in the final third, but the right-back was caught out defensively and will now miss the Almeria game after picking up a late yellow card. (6/10)
Sergio Ramos: A little nervy at the back in the first period, but the Spaniard settled as the match progressed and set up his side's fourth goal with a super pass. (7/10)
Raphael Varane: Preferred to Pepe at centre-back and the Frenchman had another strong game at the back. Caught for Celta's second, but was otherwise nice and solid. (7/10)
Marcelo: So often a threat in the final third, but the full-back was not at his best in Vigo. Did not look too comfortable when he was forced to defend inside his own box. (6/10)
Midfield
Toni Kroos: Has been criticised in recent weeks for a perceived drop in form, but the German scored his side's first of the night with a super finish and was tidy in possession of the ball. (7/10)
Asier Illarramendi: Was overlooked for the Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid, but returned here. In truth, struggled to make his mark in the middle of the park. (6/10)
Isco: Showed his undoubted quality in possession of the ball, but the Spaniard was not as inventive as usual and went missing for long periods of the game. (6/10)
Attack
James Rodriguez: Played a big part in Real Madrid's second of the match, before scoring their third just before the interval. Such an important player for Los Blancos at the moment. (8/10)
Javier Hernandez: Was the hero against Atletico during the week and the Mexican followed that up with two goals and a fine display in Vigo. Showed composure to finish both efforts expertly. (8/10)
Cristiano Ronaldo: Will have been frustrated not to get his name on the scoresheet, but he played a big part in two of his side's goals and was a constant threat in the final third. (7/10)
Substitutes
Pepe: Was introduced for the final 15 minutes as Carlo Ancelotti went for three centre-backs. Made a number of crucial interceptions late on and kept a calm head under provocation. (6/10)
Jese Rodriguez: Has really struggled for regular football this season and the Spaniard was only given the final 10 minutes here. Did not see much of the ball during his late cameo. (5/10)
Alvaro Arbeloa: Ancelotti decided to throw on another defender for the final five minutes and Arbeloa put himself about in the latter stages after replacing Rodriguez. (5/10)
