Real Madrid drop Neymar interest?

Zinedine Zidane's return to Real Madrid has ended the Spanish club's pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain attacker Neymar, according to a report.

Zinedine Zidane's return to Real Madrid as head coach has reportedly ended the Spanish club's pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain attacker Neymar.

Neymar, who is still on the sidelines with a foot injury, joined PSG from Barcelona in the summer of 2017 and has scored 48 goals in 53 games for his French club.

The Brazilian has long been linked with a return to Spain, though, having starred at Barcelona between 2013 and 2017, scoring over 100 goals for the club in all competitions.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Madrid were preparing a £300m offer for the South American, who has previously refused to rule out a move to the Spanish capital.

However, according to AS, while Zidane 'admirers Neymar', the returning head coach does not believe that the attacker is worth pursuing due to the cost of the deal, in addition to the 'media circus that accompanies him'.

Los Blancos have reportedly made a £70m opening offer for Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard.
