Zinedine Zidane's future will be reportedly determined by whether he can win El Clasico later this month as Real Madrid line up the appointment of Jose Mourinho.
The Frenchman, who rejoined the club in March, has guided Real to the top of La Liga, with Los Blancos the only side in the division to not lose a game so far this season.
However, Real's 3-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain followed by a 2-2 draw at home with Club Brugge in the club's opening pair of Champions League fixtures has placed pressure on the former midfielder.
According to a report from Spain, Real president Florentino Perez will determine Zidane's future on the basis of how his team performs against Barcelona at the Camp Nou on October 26.
Perez is said to have been in contact with Mourinho, who was in charge at the Bernabeu between 2010 and 2013, over the last few weeks about potentially stepping into the position.
The 55-year-old has been out of work since being sacked by Manchester United in December 2018.
