Italian outfit Roma have reportedly agreed terms with Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Rui Patricio.

The Portuguese international kept 10 clean sheets in 37 Premier League appearances for Nuno Espirito Santo's side last season, and started his Euro 2020 campaign strongly with a clean sheet against Hungary on Tuesday.

Jose Mourinho's new club Roma are yet to finalise a full agreement with Wolves for the 33-year-old, but all parties are believed to be confident that the transfer will be completed.

Football Insider reports that the Serie A side have offered Patricio a three-year deal at the Stadio Olimpico and the goalkeeper is expected to agree to the terms.

Since Wolves' promotion to the Premier League in 2018, Patricio has started 112 of their 114 league games and therefore Wolves will be on the lookout for a reliable number one to replace him.

Agent Jorge Mendes is reportedly working on Patricio's move to Roma and also Jose Sa's move from Olympiacos to Wolves, and new boss Bruno Lage is said to be an admirer of Sa.

In total, Patricio has kept 37 clean sheets in 127 appearances for Wolves since arriving at Molineux three seasons ago. body check tags ::
