Spain boss Vicente del Bosque feels that his side proved their doubters wrong following their 1-0 win over France in Paris.
Pedro scored the only goal of the game in the 58th minute as the Spaniards moved above Didier Deschamps's side in Group I.
"People always have doubts. So this result is important," Del Bosque told AS.
"We showed conviction to stick to our style. We played very well. We were a bit messy when they had 10 men but everyone played very well."
Spain are next in competitive action in September against Finland.
