How Tottenham Hotspur could line up against PSV Eindhoven

Ahead of Tuesday's Champions League tie between Tottenham Hotspur and PSV Eindhoven, Sports Mole looks at how Spurs could line up.

Tottenham Hotspur know that only victory will do when they welcome PSV Eindhoven to Wembley Stadium for Tuesday evening's Champions League tie.

Spurs have lost two and drawn one of their opening three Group B matches and could be dumped out of the competition this week if results go against them.

The Lilywhites' only point came from a 2-2 draw with PSV in the Netherlands two weeks ago, and Mauricio Pochettino may go with a similar starting lineup for this latest tussle.

Here, Sports Mole looks at the options available to Pochettino for the midweek visit of the Dutch champions.

Out: Vincent Janssen (foot), Jan Vertonghen (hamstring), Victor Wanyama (knee)
Doubtful: Danny Rose (groin), Eric Dier (thigh), Mousa Dembele (ankle)

Tottenham will be without skipper Hugo Lloris as a result of his red card in the four-goal draw with PSV a fortnight ago, meaning a fifth start of the season for Paulo Gazzaniga.

Pochettino now has a full complement of attacking options to choose from following Dele Alli's recent return from injury, however, giving the Argentine a selection headache of sorts.

Harry Kane is certain to start through the middle, but Pochettino must choose from the likes of Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela and Son Heung-min for the three other attacking spots.

The back four is expected to remain the same from the last meeting between these sides, meanwhile, which will mean Davinson Sanchez taking over from Juan Foyth.

Injuries to Dier and Dembele leaves Tottenham short in the middle of the pitch, potentially forcing Pochettino to go with Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko in tandem for what is a make-or-break game.
